Here I was senior/lead artist. Basically, it was just me on the team of artists. Luckily I had a team of outsourcing artists to help create the huge amount of levels level sections. I had to create master levels, provide feedback, correct, modify, clean up and approve all levels coming in. Nintendo texture allocation and polygon limits are rather low so detail was hard to gain but with some correct splitting and texturing, it looked pretty good. This DS game had a completely different design and level set to the Wii version that was created in the same company but a different team.
Screenshots shown are the levels I created. The volcano scene was quite complex and was a challenge for the DS. There were fire and smoke effects with moving lava and a moving, panning camera. The other levels have had the camera pulled back to see the complete level sections connected togther.
See how you would see the levels on DS with the trailer
